WHO WE ARE *

Family. It was meant to be. Writer-producer Izzy Kay fought it. Writer-director-producer Janna King didn’t want to push. But the more they worked together, the more it made sense for this daughter and mother to unite and form Riveter Entertainment

Janna and Izzy’s combination of experience and innovation is founded on the shared belief in story over “brand,” in character over “content,” and in authenticity over AI.

Janna has built a 30+ year career by bucking advice to “pick a lane” and instead choose projects that stoke her imagination - whether in live action or animation. Starting in TV, writing for producers such as Spelling and Cannell, she moved into TV movies including CHRISTMAS IN THE AIR and LOVE, OF COURSE. In animation, she has written on such series as DRAGON TALES, MY FRIENDS TIGGER & POOH and the WACKY RACES reboot.

She is the author of frothy thriller beach reads THE SEASONAIRES and MALIBU BLUFF (Pegasus Books) which were optioned by Blumhouse for TV development. Her penchant for dark comedy is apparent in the award-winning short films she wrote, directed and produced, MOURNING GLORY and THE BREAK-UP, along with her plays which have enjoyed solid Los Angeles runs for the past several years.

Izzy brings a multidisciplinary disruptor voice to Riveter, working across film, music and theatre. She has collaborated with production companies including MarVista on original genre TV movie projects. She wrote and produced the animated dramatic short film WILLOWwhich received festival accolades. Izzy is also a produced playwright, published short story author and lead singer-songwriter of the rock band Jane Doe, with albums IDENTIFIED and FOUND. In all of these areas, Izzy has a story to tell with a fearless point of view.

Together, Janna and Izzy have written a plethora of original screenplays, in addition to projects originating from acquired IP. Riveter’s current slate includes Izzy’s adaptation of Cody Lakin’s horror-thriller novel THE FAMILY CONDITION, Janna’s original “traum-com” feature film RESTLESS, and an animated digital series based on the Stephanie Roth Sisson’s children’s book SPRING AFTER SPRING celebrating a love for nature and adventure. Riveter is co-developing the drama series SANTA FE: THE CITY DIFFERENT from Lesley Poling-Kempes’ historical book LADIES OF THE CANYONS which centers on a group of trail-blazing female rebels.

Riveter Entertainment welcomes partnerships built on the unifying spirit of creative collaboration.
